I photograph weddings the documentary way with an editorial touch and modern vibes, at least that’s the aim. Digital for the whole day, a few rolls of 35mm film for the parts that deserve grain. Ten years in, 350-odd weddings, a lot in Italy and Spain (Barcelona) for couples flying in from the US, the UK, Canada and Australia.
I’m a romantic with a design and art habit, and I’m just as happy photographing a perfect portrait as a best man losing his speech notes. Good wedding photos need both.
After 350 weddings, here’s the pattern: a rushed day looks rushed in the photos, and even more so in the film. A relaxed one, champagne in hand with real gaps between events, looks exactly like what you flew here for.
