A BEAUTIFUL BEGINNING AT VILLA MONASTERO
Villa Monastero offers a wonderfully intimate way to begin your Lake Como wedding day. The ceremony terrace is around 500 metres from the ticket windows, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful walk through the gardens before reaching the lakeside ceremony setting.
For those who would like to keep everything close and unhurried, there is also the possibility of renting a room in the villa, located right beside the ceremony terrace. It makes for a lovely base for getting ready and spending those quiet moments before the ceremony. Afterwards, you can take your time with an aperitivo at the nearby café before making your way to your wedding venue for the main celebration — a relaxed little pause with your closest people before the day continues.
ARRIVING AT VILLA MONASTERO BY BOAT
One of the most beautiful ways to reach Villa Monastero is by boat. Located in Varenna, it is easily accessible from Bellagio, Menaggio, Cadenabbia and other villages around Lake Como via the public ferry network. For a more special arrival, a private boat transfer can also bring you directly to the villa’s lakeside dock, turning the journey itself into part of the wedding experience. Anyways – taxi from Bergamo Airport to Varenna costs about 180 EUR. So, let’s get married there!
