Masseria aka Hotel San Marco Antico Relais with 6 rooms is located just 10 minutes from Bari airport and 15 minutes from Bari city centre. Yes, this means that it is close to other hotels and you can easily get a taxi to get to Bari. Together with Italian Boutique Weddings Ilze & Makonis created a cosy wedding in autumn (still very warm and sunny). This is definitely the highlight of the year because these are my friends. An honour to be a photographer! I loved the staff – very friendly and supportive. As there are some of them who don’t speak English fluently it made it even more fun to arrange things. Plus two super nice dogs walking around the wedding venue. This was a 3-day wedding with the pizza pre-party, the wedding day and the afterparty. Would I recommend this venue? Yes!

Puglia is a region located in Southern Italy bordering the Adriatic Sea. Yes, Southern means – the sun is more than you can imagine. I would say – this is the real location for a wedding. With all the Italian ‘traffic’, food, people, olive trees, coffee and more. It’s different from Northern Italy. It’s more natural, more untouched and has a bright architecture for nice wedding pictures – the romantic white. Rocky coast and blue sea if you love waters.
So .. you think a wedding in Puglia/Apulia could be for you? Jap .. you are right! And the best thing is – it’s very close, affordable, and beautiful especially when your people are waiting for you at the airport to pick you up and go straight to the best pizza place in town.
